Although I have always advocated for gender equality, I did learn a lot from the essay. Looking at this issue from different perspectives and in different cultures has broadened my horizons. Now I have a better understanding of the severity of gender inequality.
I remember being surprised at how many problems we, as a society, still need to fix. It was shocking to know that no country has genuinely achieved gender equality. 
I faced some obstacles while researching, mainly finding reliable sources and current data from different countries. I still have some information that could be considered outdated.
